Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal, it has traditional as well as modern setting consists of three cities of historic, cultural and political importance- Kathmandu, Lalitpur (Patan) and Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon). Covering an area of 218 sq. kms, the Kathmandu Valley is situated at 1136 m above sea level. There are seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the valley, including many temples monuments and Stupas. Pashupatinath, the most revered Hindu temple is also in Kathmandu.
